Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (691–751 AH / 1292–1350) was the closest student of Ibn Taymiyyah. He wrote on creed, fiqh, hadith, and the diseases of the heart.

Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (691–751 AH / 1292–1350) was the closest student of Ibn Taymiyyah. He wrote on creed, fiqh, hadith, and the diseases of the heart.

Zad al-Ma'ad, I'lam al-Muwaqqi'in, Madarij al-Salikin, and al-Kafiyah al-Shafiyah (al-Nuniyyah) are still taught in Salafi circles. He affirmed the attributes upon the Athari way and wrote at length on Tawhid al-ibadah.

Legacy

The student who wrote the teacher’s way in a form later generations could teach: law, creed, and suluk without Sufi excess or kalam.
