Abd al-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri (1283–1353 AH / 1866–1935) wrote Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi, the major Ahl-i Hadith commentary on al-Tirmidhi. Salafi hadith students still use it for fiqh of the Jami'.
